result, other manufacturers too began to follow the path of offering
semi-faired motorcycles at an affordable price.

2015 Honda CB 1000R
Though this scenario was largely fueled by Honda, when it made its venture in the superbike market of India with its potent street fighter, the CB 1000R. The motorcycle, at that time, was one among the handful of superbikes legally available in the country. The CB 1000R, thanks to its popularity on the global platform, became a halo model for Honda in the Indian two wheeler market.
But in the recent times, the competition from new players in this segment, such as Kawasaki, Ducati and Triumph, has raised the bar for the Honda CB 1000R.
