At the press junket American Ultra in New York, Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen realized portraits for USA Today and gave an interview.
Are you finally ready to take Kristen Stewart seriously as an actress?
We are - and most critics are, too. Since the Twilight Saga was completed in 2012, the young woman aged 25 has impressed with dramatic turns in films such as Camp X-Ray, Still Alice and Clouds Of Sils Maria, for which she won a César for Best Actress In A Supporting Actor earlier this year. For those who are not insiders, this is basically the French equivalent of an Oscar and is the first American to have won.
And with roles scheduled for the coming Woody Allen films, Ang Lee and Kelly Reichardt, Kristen is exactly where she wants to be in his career. Promoting his latest film, American Ultra, she told USA Today:
'It's nice to have people who tell you,' Hey, good job '. But I was always very confident about my way. It's hard for me to talk about the idea of having fewer roles for women, even if it is absolutely true, because I'm just trying to somehow swim around the Olympic size pool indulgence, which makes me incredibly lucky. So [Caesar] was kind of a nice pat on the back. Honestly, it was just really cool to meet up with everyone and go '. [Lance an expletive]. 'Yeah.'
And with all of the award ceremony in French, she was particularly surprised to hear his name being called.
'I'll be super honest with you - I was sitting there next to Juliette [Binoche his partner] in total disbelief, who told me,' It was crazy that we have even considered nominate you! No way, no way! They will never give it to you! '. So I was just sitting there, we were just about to turn [expletive], hanging together, like, 'Oh, that's the category?'. And then suddenly, the row is emptied. It was great '.
