One
well-known California treasure I had yet to see before the Camaro drive
was Yosemite National Park. A visit to GoogleMaps confirmed the park
was about 175 miles due east of San Francisco. Going east from the Bay
Area doesn’t get you much closer to Los Angeles, but that was the beauty
of Chevrolet’s philosophy for this launch. The automaker
provided several points of interest that were generally “on the way”
between the cities of each leg, but with its #FindNewRoads
hashtag Chevrolet didn’t expect journalists to follow a prescribed
route. In fact, the company created a points system that encouraged
journalists to strike out on their own.
