Plot
In the aftermath of the shocking events in Sinister, a protective young mother (Shannyn Sossamon) and her 9 year-old twin sons (Dartanian and Robert Daniel Sloan) move into a rural house that Bughuul is residing in. He tries to convince one of the children to kill his whole family and film the murders. Meanwhile, Deputy So & So (James Ransone) investigates the murders himself, in an attempt to stop more of these killings from happening.Cast

Production
A sequel was announced to be in the works in March 2013, with Scott Derrickson in talks to co-write the script with C. Robert Cargill, but not to direct, as Derrickson did on the first film.[3] On April 17, 2014, it was announced that Ciaran Foy would direct the film, and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Charles Layton, Xavier Marchand, and Patrice Théroux would executive produce the sequel with eOne Entertainment.[4]Filming
Principal photography began on August 19, 2014, in Chicago, it was shot for six weeks on locations including St. Anne and outside of the village of Grant Park.[5]Release
On May 20, 2015, Focus Features relaunched their Gramercy Pictures label for action, horror, and science-fiction movies. Sinister 2 will be one of Gramercy's new releases.[6]References
